Champions Workshop
| Last night I attended a Champions workshop put on by Klemmer and Associates, with Brian Klemmer as the presenter. To be quite honest, what I learned in this 3 hour presentation was more than I learned in half my years at BBC, no joke. The one thing that really hit home was that my intentions (my deepest level of committment) will always equal my results. Meaning that if I am intent on doing something, whether it gets done or not, the results will equal the intent. If I am committed to buying a house, getting a job, raising my income, losing weight, gaining weiaght, whatever is of value to me, the end result equals the true intention, or the true committment that I have of reaching that result. In order to raise intention, risk is required, I live way to comfortable and in order for that to change, risk must take place. This is the analogy- put $100 in the bank and what are you risking? Not much, but what are you gaining? Not much. Invest that money in a stock, the risk is higher, but the result is also higher (or lower), that is the risk, but risk enables change in a short amount of time. I have thought of this in my relationship with God, what have I risked for God? What is my result because of my risk? I think that I have spent too much of my faith in the banking system, and as a result, that is what I have received a low return on my low risk faith. BTW- FRATERIA has began and week one was great, 10 men showed up and it looks like it will be a great time over the next 6 weeks. |
